Instructor Robert Dean has 30+ years of experience. He played euphonium at the University of Michigan and studied alongside Dr. Elliott Tackitt, now Director of Bands, University of Virginia. An all-state musician, he was the low brass and baritone section leader of the nationally recognized, Three-Time National Champion Plymouth Canton Marching Band.

About Robert
Robert Dean has played euphonium for more than 30 years. With the Plymouth-Canton Wind Ensemble at the Bands of America Concert Band Festival, he was selected first-chair and achieved “1” ratings at Solo & Ensemble for four straight years.
As section leader for the nationally ranked Plymouth-Canton Marching Band for four years, he helped win the MCBA State Championships in 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2001, and the Bands of America Grand National Championship in 1999.
At the University of Michigan, Robert played euphonium and tuba with the University Band. His teachers include Robert Meyers, David McGrath, Clayton Waccholz, and Elliott Tackitt (now Director of Bands at the University of Virginia).
